Things you need to complete this layout
2. 325 Pixel Brushes
Create a new document. I will use always for my tutorials the following size: 960×900 pixels. Change your foreground color to #f5f2ef. On your document press one time with Paint Bucket Tool. Now I will create a shape with Rounded Rectangle Tool. The color of the shape will be #3d342b
For this shape I will add the following layer styles:
This is my result. You will see a very thing line around your shape. Believe me, lines like this are very important and it will change the look of the layout a lot.
Hold down your CTRL key and with your left mouse button click on the Vector Mask Thumbnail
You will see a selection around this shape
I will create a new layer on top of all layers (press CTRL+SHIFT+ALT+N), and then I will select Brush Tool. With round smooth brush I will make a drawing over this brown shape
I will change the blending mode for this layer to Soft Light
I will press on CTRL+D to deselect. This is my result. Click on the image to see the full size layout
I will duplicate the brown shape (to duplicate a layer first select the shape in your layer palette, and then press on CTRL+J). I will change the color of this layer to #bab0a4.
I will right click on the layer inside my layer palette, and I will choose rasterize layer
Then I will select Polygonal Lasso Tool and I will try to make a selection on the left side of the shape, and then I will delete this area)
I will reduce the opacity value to 20 %. This is my result.
With The same technique I will add there a stock image with a very nice interior render.
I will create a new shape with Rectangle Tool. This time I will use the following color: #e9e6e1. I recommend you to press on the following image to see better how I placed this shape
Under this shape I will add a round shape with Ellipse Tool. I will create a nice shadow under the navigation menu.
I will go to Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur and I will add a random value between 5 and 10 pixels. This is my result
I will duplicate this layer, and I will go to Edit > Transform > Flip Vertical and then with my arrow keys I will place the shadow on the top side of the navigation bar.
I will grab my Pencil Tool and I will create a shape like this one
I will add the following layer styles:
This is my result so far
Be sure you have the layer selected in your layer palette, and then press two times on CTRL+J to create two copies for this shape. Select both copies in your layer palette, and then
press on CTRL+E to merge both layers into a single one. This step is required for the next step.
Select Erase tool and delete some parts of this shape until you have the following result
Duplicate this layer a few times and move it to the right.
Select Line Tool and create a 1 pixel line.
Rasterize this line by right clicking on the layer inside your layer palette, and then delete the bottom part of the line with Eraser Tool (and a smooth round brush selected)
Duplicate this line a few times and place it under the other buttons
In the middle of the shape I will create a new line. To create these lines it is very good if you hold down your CTRL key. In this way the lines will have the same angle (in my case 45 degrees)
On the bottom of the layout I will create a few shapes with Rounded Rectangle Tool.
I will download the following set of 200 Pixel Patterns.
I will load the patterns in Photoshop, and then I will create a new layer on top of all layers (press on CTRL+ALT+SHIFT+N). I will load the selection for the big white shape
Grab your Paint Bucket Tool, and select the following pattern.
Press one time inside your selection, and be sure you have selected the empty layer you created in my previous step.
Select Eraser Tool and delete the bottom part of the lines. If you want you can reduce the opacity value for this layer to 20 – or 30 %.
My Last step is to add some text over this layout. Please click on the following image to see the full size layout.
I will use also the following set of 325 Pixel Brushes to add some details over my layout.

Awesome web layout, thanks for the tut..
Sorry, but it’s rubbish. It looks like a common template. I wouldn’t get money from a client if I delivered such website – especially for a manufacturer. Maybe it’s just european reality.
Hi Kiwus, maybe you can design something better and post it here so we can all see YOUR creative genius…. * didn’t think so*… “PS. Admin – great design and tutorial as always
“
