In this tutorial I will show you how to create a nice business Wordpress layout. this PSD layout can be used also for a corporate layout. The PSD file is free for download for the next 24 hours. Subscribe to RSS or follow us on Twitter if you don’t want to miss our next releases

Preview wordpress layout

You can use this layout also for your company. I will start my new layout by opening a new document. I am using always the following size: 960 x 900 pixels. This size is very good because it will fit on almost all decent monitors.

I will select Rectangle Tool, and I will create a new shape

Then I with Rounded Rectangle Tool, I will create another ones

You can see in my screen shot from above that I have used another color for a shape. This is only for you to see better what I am doing. I will turn the color of that shape back to a black color
Now I will select 3 layers in my layer palette

I will merge all the 3 layers into a single one (press CTRL+E)

I will select Pen Tool, and I will create 2 small triangles like in the following image (please note that I will use another color to see better what I am doing)

I will turn back the color to black, and then I will merge all the layers

Next step is to rasterize one of the shapes. To rasterize a shape you need to right click on the shape

Then go to Select  > Load selection.

Select Rectangular Marquee Tool and move the selection like in the following image

Select the layer we have merged at the beginning of this tutorial, and hit delete on your keyboard

Move the selection also on the other part and hit delete. After you learn also that corner please click on CTRL+D to deselect

I will add the following layer style for all the black shapes

One more time I will use Rounded Rectangle Tool, and I will create another shapes

For all these white shapes I will add a simple layer style

I will add some text with Horizontal Type Tool

I will go to Smahingmagazine and I will download this set of Icons. I will add two icons on my layout. The one with RSS sun flower, and the blue bird

Then I will add an image and a logo. I will use a simple logo

On the right side, I will try to create a slideshow. For start I will use Rounded Rectangle Tool, to make 5 small shapes

Then I will add an image

I am almost ready with this layout. I will need also an e-mail subscription box. I will create this form with 2 rounded shapes.

On the top of the layout I will add another image with a nice 3D render. This is my final layout. I hope you like it.
